Isb United’s Russell willing to visit Pakistan, but would be ‘scared’

DUBAI - West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has communicated his readiness to visit Pakistan, yet will be "frightened" if the Pakistan Super League (PSL) were to be organized in its host nation one year from now.

Russell - who is at present speaking to Islamabad United in the PSL - judges the circumstance as indicated by what he sees and hears on standard media about Pakistan.

"In view of what I have heard and stuff you know, I mean, I will be terrified clearly," Russell told espncricinfo, when inquired as to whether he would play in Pakistan. "Yet, for reasons unknown, I would go to Pakistan. In any case, tune in, I will be terrified. That is the thing," he included.

Russell said that going to Pakistan would be as risky as making a trip to Iraq — a nation which has been experiencing war since over 10 years now.

"It is similar to me going to Iraq taking into account what I have caught wind of Iraq. You are going to have pleasant spots in Iraq. You are going to have decent places in Pakistan. I've seen pictures, delightful spots, and excellent individuals. Be that as it may, it is [about] what is encompassing [them]," he said.
